From Sketch to CAD:

I don't think everybody knows that I design the jewellery, I didn't in the early days, and this has only been happening in the last 2 years, but I love doing it.  I do my rough sketches (you wouldn't believe I was good at Art in my school days and actually used to sell my Canvas acrylic abstract art) and then send to the CAD jewellery specialists. 

3D Printing and Approval:

They create the CAD (computer aided design) so we can see it in 2D with height, width and all the dimensions, it is then made into a 3D print version for me to have a look at, make any tweaks and then approve. 

Why I Skipped a Step This Time:

The Sonora was a tight deadline, so we skipped the 3D version and the team went straight to working it out with the sterling silver which is what the base metal for all of my plated pieces is, have a look at the video below and I'd love to hear your thoughts!
