Can I wear these all evening?
Solid gold you can wear all night, every night, they will suffer a lazy girls lack of routine! Plated pieces, of course are fine for hours and hours, but as with any plated jewellery, if you never take them out, wear them to sleep in etc, they will fade. However, every now and then? They'll be fine!
Are they suitable for sensitive ears?
Yes! They’re made with sensitive ears in mind. All Helix & Conch plated pieces use a sterling silver base with either rhodium or 14k gold plating. I also offer solid 9k and 14k gold options. All pieces are nickel-free, which makes them a great choice for most sensitive ears. That said, everyone’s skin is different. If you’ve reacted to jewellery before (or you know there’s a specific metal you can’t wear) then please don't risk it!
Are they sold as singles or pairs?
You can buy a single or pair because lots of people are building an ear stack (different piercings, different sizes, mixing styles) and only need one piece rather than a full pair. It also means if you lose one, you can simply replace the single, you don’t have to buy a whole new pair! If you’d prefer a matching set, you can absolutely buy a pair (either by selecting “pair”, or adding two singles).
Can I sleep in them?
You can, but I generally recommend taking the plated pieces out to sleep. Overnight wear (plus things like sweat, skincare, showering, swimming, hair products and friction against your pillow) can wear plating down faster and dull the finish over time. Put them in as your last step in getting ready! If you want a “leave-in” option,solid 9k/14k gold is the most low-maintenance choice.
What if I’m unsure which style to choose?
Choose your favourite and then work your stack around it, if you have several piercings, then many prefer to have a more statement piece in the first lobe, and then go daintier as they stack up the ear.
