As well as a large percentage of the solid gold used in H&C pieces being recycled, I am also doing everything I can to be as earth friendly as possible when I send your orders to you.
I fought with myself for a long time before I launched about whether I should create a beautiful little box to present your earrings in but know from personal experience I just end up wasting drawer space by storing a heap of empty jewellery boxes for no reason.
Either that or they go in the bin and to landfill because you don’t know which part of it is recyclable (the foam many jewellery brands use is NOT!), or they go in the recycling bin wrongly. Therefore I was more comfortable with sending your pieces out in a pouch with a popper closure. This keeps your pieces safe on their journey to you but also is reusable again and again, to store pieces in or to fill and keep safe for travel.

I then looked into sending out in postal boxes, but this became a real bug bear of mine, receiving something tiny in a box that would fit a book in, it may look more luxury, but it is a complete waste of material, again more recycling to be done, which uses energy we would rather not be using, and so I decided on a padded envelope.
Until March 2022, it was just my outer of the envelope that was recyclable, but I am happy to say that my black envelopes are now 100% biodegradable and recyclable so completely environmentally friendly, the unique corrugated mesh material lining makes them durable and impact resistant meaning your earrings will arrive safe and sound!
You may notice I don’t put an invoice in your package, this is because you get an order confirmation which is your receipt in your inbox. Therefore I feel printing it for you and putting it in your package is a completely mindless waste of paper.
